A warm welcome to new playground at Boulevard Woods

8/24/2019

The "soft opening" of Phase 2 at Boulevard Woods Park took place last April, with a few small finishing touches wrapped up while the park was open and in use. The new slide, climbing dome and natural play areas and trail look great!

Several people have asked if there is a Phase 3 planned for the park, and there is—although the details are still being ironed out. Plans have begun for native plantings and landscaping to be added in the wooded section of the park, but the Boulevard Steering Committee's parks subcommittee is still ironing out the details with Athens-Clarke County's Leisure Services on the timing.

Plans are in the works for an official opening party that can also double as a work day at the park. We're waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before we announce a date, so stay tuned!

Help represent Boulevard in the Bou-le-Bark Parade

8/24/2019

Members of the Boulevard Neighborhood Association are invited to represent the neighborhood in the upcoming Bou-le-Bark Parade. It takes place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, and there is a need for a small group of residents to walk behind a banner (between groups of dogs). Banners will be provided, and you may walk with or without your dog.

We have many members of the Steering Committee who are volunteering at the parade, and they can't walk to represent the neighborhood—come help us represent!

Email Deb Stanley for more details or to take part!

The BouleYard Sale is a neighborhood-wide yard sale that gives the yard sale crowd a one-stop shop for all their stuff. The sale is planned for the weekend after move-in takes place at UGA, so it's a good chance to rehome housewares, decor, furniture and any knick-knacks that might help an apartment feel more like home.

IF YOU WANT TO SELL STUFF: Register your house via our online form at www.boulevardathens.com
IF YOU WANT TO SHOP: Mark Saturday, August 10 on your calendar, share this event and bring your friends. The more the merrier!

Our neighborhood-wide yard sale is coming up!

7/21/2019

Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 10, for this year's BouleYard Sale. This is the weekend after move-in takes place at UGA, so we have a good chance of netting new students as well as the yard sale regulars. In past years we've seen hundreds of people come out for this event, so it's a great opportunity to sell some stuff and make some cash.

Here's how it works:
IF YOU WANT TO SELL STUFF: Register your house via our online form.

The Boulevard Neighborhood Association will create maps of all the properties, update the website and Facebook event with addresses, and promote the event.

Oh, and speaking of cash, this event is a fundraiser for the BNA, so we ask that participating houses donate 10% of their proceeds to the neighborhood organization. (We thank you!)

IF YOU WANT TO SHOP: Mark Saturday, August 10 on your calendar, share this event and bring your friends. The more the merrier!

Get ready for the 2019 BouleYard Sale!

6/14/2019

This successful neighborhood-wide yard sale is back for another year. The Boulevard Neighborhood Association has reserved Saturday, August 10, for this year's BouleYard Sale.

The sale is planned for the weekend after move-in takes place at UGA, so it's a good chance to rehome housewares, decor, furniture and any knick-knacks that might help an apartment feel more like home.

Here's how it works:
IF YOU WANT TO SELL STUFF: Register your house via our online form (https://forms.gle/8j2DEnookJMC9xsF7). Then, share this event and start organizing your stuff.

The Boulevard Neighborhood Association will create maps of all the properties, update the website and Facebook event with addresses, and promote the event. In past years we've seen hundreds of people come out for this event, so it's a great opportunity to sell some stuff and make some cash.

Oh, and speaking of cash, this event is a fundraiser for the BNA, so we ask that participating houses donate 10% of their proceeds to the neighborhood organization. It's not mandatory, but since we all came together to make your sale a huge success, we just ask that you give a little back in return.

IF YOU WANT TO SHOP: Mark Saturday, August 10 on your calendar, share this event and bring your friends. The more the merrier!
