A warm welcome to new playground at Boulevard Woods

The "soft opening" of Phase 2 at Boulevard Woods Park took place last April, with a few small finishing touches wrapped up while the park was open and in use. The new slide, climbing dome and natural play areas and trail look great!

Several people have asked if there is a Phase 3 planned for the park, and there is—although the details are still being ironed out. Plans have begun for native plantings and landscaping to be added in the wooded section of the park, but the Boulevard Steering Committee's parks subcommittee is still ironing out the details with Athens-Clarke County's Leisure Services on the timing.

Plans are in the works for an official opening party that can also double as a work day at the park. We're waiting for the weather to cool down a bit before we announce a date, so stay tuned!
