Athens-Clarke County police encourage all residents to say something if they see something suspicious in the neighborhood. You don’t need to wait for a crime to happen before you call the police. The number to call is 706-613-3345. The police will respond and check things out. Residents can also call 911, explain that it's not an emergency, and the police will respond.

A charitable event, the Boo-le-bark parade donates all profits to Athenspets, a local volunteer organization that helps the Athens-Clarke County Animal Control.
The event took place for a second-year in a row and featured dogs sporting football jerseys, dressed up as scarecrows or just plain red bows. Check out the video featuring 100 dressed-up pups. |
