Tree Planting Initiative

We planted a tree...and YOU can too!

Picture
The Boulevard Neighborhood Association is at it again. You can get a tree, get it planted, and get mulch and a water gater – all for ONLY $15.

If you're interested in a tree, email [email protected]

AND please spread the word!  Tell your neighbors.  Tell people walking their dogs. It’s great family fun!

Types of Trees that are Available:

1.       Red maple: a fast-growing native tree, with brilliant fall foliage and goo adaptability to wet or dry soil conditions.
2.       Willow oak: a fast-growing, large shade tree with narrow, willow-like leaves - the original "Boulevard" tree lining our main street.
3.       Southern magnolia: a magnificent deciduous tree with glossy leaves and huge, fragrant white flowers.
4.       Fig: a fast-growing deciduous tree - small to medium size - with large lobed leaves and sweet, edible fruit.
5.       Japanese maple: an elegant deciduous tree - small to medium(ish) - with delicate, colorful, deeply-lobed leaves and vibrant autumn colors.
6.       Star magnolia: a small, hardy, deciduous shrub/tree featuring fragrant, white, star-shaped early spring flowers.
7.       Crape myrtle: a hardy, fast-growing summer-blooming shrub/tree with crinkled, colorful flowers - "bulletproof," says Chris Aubry of Aubry’s Arbor.
